A good way to learn how to sail is to help sail a boat during races at Berlin Yacht Club.  This is called "crewing."  Often members who own a boat ("skipper") need someone crew for them on race day.

It does not cost anything to crew, and you do not have to be a club member.  BYC has many patient skippers who are willing to teach someone with little to no prior experience how to crew.  This is a great way to get out on the water, have fun, and see if sailing is the sport for you.  For more information about crewing, contact Jim Diffley (tel 330-503-9127‬) or Ron Craig (tel 330- 692-3688).
